O Lord my God!
How can I thank You?
Can praise from flesh and blood honour You, O Lord?
You are the Holy One!
But impure are the words of my mouth!
How can I honour You, my Lord?
With my unclean lips,
The spillway of evil?
My God and King,
You are gracious and loving!
Lord, You are holy and righteous!
What am I, O Sovereign Lord,
That You sent your Son to die for me?
Nothing good dwells in my bones:
All my deeds are filthy rags,
And my wages is death.
But in You, O Lord, there is life.
What a merciful and triumphant King You are!
You are the King of Glory, the Ransom for many.
Who is like You, O Lord?
Whose eyes are too pure to look at evil.
Almighty King, You are the Holy One!
Your ways are not like man’s.
But You took on flesh to save the sons of men.
I am nothing but a filthy worm,
Who dwells in a sin-filled world.
I was lost and dead in sin;
But You found me and revived me.
O Lord, who else would care for me?
Who else could take away my sins,
And bring me into your glorious presence?
Lord, You are the only righteous.
You took off my filthy garment,
Clothed me with your clean robe,
And crowned me with everlasting life.
O Lord my Redeemer,
Before my sight your glory shines.
You have removed the scales from my eyes,
And engraved your laws within my heart,
That the fear of Thee shall dwell in me forever.
Into your Temple, O Gracious Lord,
My feet unfalteringly stand
To worship You forever
In the beauty of holiness.
O Lord my King,
Infuse my lips with songs of praise!
Fill my heart with humility and love,
So should I lift up your holy name with awe.
You are the Lord my salvation!
My soul for your glory breathes.
May obedience and faithfulness be my delight,
May my heart in your ways glory!
From everlasting to everlasting,
O Great and Holy One,
May thy great name be hallowed!
Amen.
