Lord, You alone have established the weight of the wind.

For your glory, O God of Creation,

It pesters the earth with gusts and embalms it with zephyr.

At the crack of dawn, it swiftly arises.

At the sound of your voice, it gently breezes

And puts to sleep the heat of the day.

When You set your face against the sons of men,

It roars and rages in excitement.

It prowls through the earth with impetuousness and might

And overthrows the pride of man.

It leaves ruins and destructions;

It sweeps everything on its way.

Who is like You, O Supreme King?

You open and close the floodgates of heaven;

You break open the fountains of the great deep.

In the dawn of time You uttered a command,

They met together and bowed at your feet;

You apportioned them by measure.

When You sneeze they rage and roar in fury;

At your command they fall asleep.

Lord, You undergird the dome with your breath.

The waters above the sky celebrate your glory.

You draw up the drops of waters

And keep them in your storerooms.

You send rain on earth to sustain the sons of men.

You give water to the thirsty ground,

And life to the slumbering seed imprisoned by death.

Lord our salvation, the Hope of the weary,

You bless the lowly with the newness of life.

With You, O King of Creation, is dominion for ever.

The fullness of your glory is beyond understanding;

Majesty and beauty surround You.

You are clothed with glory and splendour.

You disperse the rage of your wrath

And humble anyone who is proud.

But the lowly shall live to see your glory,

For You do not hide your face from them.

Be exalted, O glorious God!

Manifold and righteous are the works of your hands.
